Central West vets report for game played at Bathurst, Sep 23

Hi everyone,

A very big field of 108 Central West veteran golfers played a round of golf at the Bathurst golf club and by the number of reports we heard today, most of them went home very happy with the way they played.

The fairways provided a lot of run, the greens were slow due to the recent coring and a gorgeous day weather wise set up the day for good scoring and so it was needing to score 36 points just to get a ball on the ball sweep.

Best on the day was Alan Josey who took out first place in B grade with a score of 43 points. Second in B grade was Peter Gray with 41 points.

In A grade the winner was David Gates with 41 points and second was David Nicholls with 40 points.

The best on the ladies’ comp was the very consistent Robyn Sharp O’Neill with and excellent 41 points.

The ball sweep went down to 36 points. The nearest to the pin winners were Sue Gander on the 4th, Don Hinks on the 8th, Neil Haley on the 13th and Graham Tyson on the 16th.

We were using a new system to record the results today so if you think that we have missed you out on the ball sweep let us know and we will rectify it.
