Central West vets report for Molong Monday, June 10

Hi everyone,

A field of 44 Central West vets played a round of vets’ golf at Molong on Monday, June 10

Considering that the weather threw everything at us to let us know that it was the first vets’ game of winter, we had fog and misty rain at the start of the game, a good shower of rain mid game and lovely sunshine towards the end of it, all 44 players completed their round.

As always, the Molong group of ladies and men volunteers provided excellent hospitality before and after the game with a nice morning tea on arrival and a barbecue lunch at the end of the game.

Golf results,

A countback was required to decide today's winner when David Harvey and Terry Duff both returned excellent scores of 36 points. The cards checker gave David first place by the nearest of margins, with Terry having to settle for second place. Third place went to visitor Chris Peter with 33 points.

The ladies’ comp winner was Sue Vaughan with 28 points.

The ball sweep went down to 27 points.

Full results,

Next game of Central West vets will be at Bathurst on July 1.

You will need to book a starting time and a cart if required by calling the proshop on 6331 1379.
