Central West vets getting ready to start the day
Central west vets report for game played at Wentworth November 25.
Hi everyone,
Central West vets’ golfers know that we are a privileged group. We get to play some of the best and most challenging courses on the Central West. We enjoy some of John’s home cooked cakes and biscuits with a cup of tea or coffee on arrival. We play golf with some great friends We enjoy excellent lunches provided by the clubs after the game and of all that for $30. What else would you want to do on Mondays?
It really gets better if you play good golf to go with it and so it was today with half the field playing to their handicap or better.
Best of all in A grade was Noel Wright with an excellent score of 45 points. Second on A grade was Ray Craw with 43 points.
In B grade Alan Orton has continued with his great form to be the B grade winner with 45 points. Second was Daniel Crossman with 42 points.
The ladies were not to be outdone in the good scoring department with Leone Dalton winning the ladies’ comp with 39 points. Not far behind was Jan Moad who claimed second place with 38 points
The scoring today was so good that playing to your handicap was not good enough to get a ball on the ball sweep, the cutoff was 37 points.
We only have the result for two nearest to the pin they were Bill Vaughan on the 5th and Graham Walker on the 6th. David will announce the other winners at Molong.
