Christmas Cheer Day 2024
Central West vets wish all vet golfers a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
Game report for game played at Bathurst December 16
A very big field of 117 Central West vet golfers played the last round of vets golf at the Bathurst golf club. It was a perfect golf day to complete what has been a very good year of Central West vets golf, apart from the heat. But there is no doubt that a lot of Central West vet golfers have taken a liking to the Bathurst golf course with all the trophy winners but one, playing at clubs other than Bathurst.Â
To the results,
I will keep it short; it has been a very long day.
The winner in A grade was Barry Rhodes from Wentworth with a very impressive 43 points. Second was the very consistent David Ryan from Wellington with 41 points.
In B grade the winner was Col Tarn from Duntry with 41 points. Second was Glyn Samuel from Oberon with 40 points
The ladies comp winner was the very good supporter of vets golf, Robyn Forrester from Wentworth with 38 points. Robyn had to survive a countback to keep out Magaret Kullen, from Bathurst, who also score 38 points to come second. Margaret was the only Bathurst player to win a prize.
The nearest to the pin winners were Neil McFarlane on the 4th, Alan Renike on the 8th and 13th and Peter Moad on the 16th.
Everyone should have got a ball today in place of a ball sweep. Unfortunately, not everyone did which is something we will be look into in the future.
Next Central West game will be at Oberon on January 13
We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy and Prosperous 2025 Year
In the meantime, we hope the Gods of golf are very kind to you.
See you all next in 2025
