Central west vets enjoying pies and beer after a game at Blayney

Central West Vets golf report for game played at Blayney August 12

Hi everyone,

A somewhat disappointing field of 39 Central West vets’ golfers played a round of vets’ golf at Blayney golf course on Monday, August 12.

The golf course was in very good condition considering the very wet winter we are experiencing. The fairways had a good cover of grass but as it is usually the case at Blayney the greens proofed too hard to master for most of us with no one able to play to their handicap.

The best score of the day was Davis Parkes from Wenty with 34 points. Second place on the day was Allan Renike also from Wenty, who made amends for losing a countback at Wellington last week by scoring 33 points on his own.

Finding third place was not an easy task when 8 players, too many to mention their names, returned scores of 30 points. Ray Craw’s 16 points on the second time around was enough for him to get the third-place voucher.

The ball sweep went down to a very generous 28 points. Nearest to the pin markers were not available.

Next game of Central West vets will be at Wentworth on Monday, August 26.
You will need to call the Proshop on 6361 4505 to book a starting tiem and cart if you need one

It will be a good opportunity to see the brand-new club house and enjoy a game of vet’s golf.

Until then may the Gods of golf be kind to you.
